As summer in the UK comes towards its end we have been busy helping people plan for some exciting journeys in 2012. Our tours to Southern and Western India in January and February are already sold out but we have also been taking lots of bookings on other tours throughout the year. 

To us, the best thing about our tours is getting to meet the producers who make the amazing products that we have in our houses and in our kitchen cupboards. To the producers that we visit on the tours, one of the most exciting things about hosting a visit from a tour group is the opportunity to meet some of the people who buy, sell and love the products that they make.

If you are thinking of joining us on a tour next year we have put together a list of the people that you will be visiting and the fair trade products you will know them by. Perhaps you might want to take photos of your fair trade stall or with your family or friends enjoying the products so you can show them to the people that you meet.  

Sri Lanka: 14th to 29th February 2012
In Sri Lanka along with enjoying the beaches, temples, tea estates and elephants we visit Gospel House and meet the people who make the colourful children's toys.

Costa Rica & Nicaragua: 25th February to 10th March 2012
In Costa Rica and Nicaragua we visit Fairtrade coffee farmers at Coocafe and Cecocafen, Pineapple producers at ASOPROAGROIN and the producers whose sugar goes into the yummy chocolate spread at Coopecañera.

Bangladesh: 11th to 24th March 2012
Our Bangladesh has always been at the heart of Traidcraft's work and given these strong links it is not unexpected that our Bangladesh tour includes more visits with producer groups than on any other tour. From the embroidery at Swajan, paper making at Bonoful, Screen printing and tailoring at Saidpur Enterprises and Weaving at Jute Works this tour is bursting full of opportunities to see a huge proportion of the products we see in Traidcraft's Catalogue.

Chile: 1st to 15th April 2012
Last but by no means least, our tour to Chile combines an explorations of this fabulous country with visits to raisin producers, the vinyards of Lautaro and a visit to meet Chino at Apicoop to learn about the honey and blueberries that they produce.
